Conroe Ice House is a rare chance to be the change you want to see in the world. In Conroe, there are only a handful of true third places. Somewhere that is not home and not work, where you can just be. We wanted to build a place where we could bring our families and our kids, where friends could hang out and relax together in a safe environment. So we made one. A family friendly Mexican restaurant, Tex-Mex kitchen, full bar, and live music venue right here in Conroe, Texas.
WHY THE NAME SOUNDS FAMILIAR
If the name rings a bell, that is on purpose. The most common thing we hear when people find out we are opening the old spot back up is “oh, you should have changed the name.” We kept it close for two reasons.
First, it is Conroe Ice House now, with Conroe first. This icehouse belongs to Conroe.
Second, sure, we could have spent the money on a whole new sign and a whole new identity. Instead we are putting that money into our people. The ones this place is really for.
